Today's facilitating is totally new and interesting to me. Why? cos we had an excursion and cooking session! Yes, cook. Danalie, who doesn't even cook instant noodles (rather eat cup noodles, just pour hot water in) fried potato wedges today! It was a big achievement man!
Today was my first time going to Kranji War Memorial. The place was very peaceful and beautiful. The soldiers who died in WWII weren't even Singaporean. That's very commendable and brave! Standing at the top, i felt so refreshed. The air smelled great!
After that we had a field cooking activity. The children were very excited. I didn't know how to go about cooking. So, i just talked and talked and briefed and briefed until the children said the water is boiling, meaning we should start cooking...okay...fine
We went to a MacDonalds Restaurant in Queenstown for lunch. The Mac restaurant is very special. They have special lunch promotion. Normal EVMs cost the most S$5. It's not student meal. It's the normal meal. They also have a pond with lotsa of terrapins.
Today's really a 'break' from school. I need some space to breathe! Away from all the projects! It was so enjoyable. The kids are very adorable. Maybe i'll find another time to visit the war memorial again..lolx!
